ARCHIVE 00: THE GENESIS

Gothicursed did not start in a meeting room. It was created from scratch with no advantages and a strong dislike for the way things are done.

At sixteen my life was a page. After losing family and money everything moved on without me. I was completely alone.. When you're pushed to the side you stop trying to fit in. You make your way.

The brand started because I wanted a watch that I couldn't afford.. It also began because everything out there looked boring. The world was stuck in a cycle of predictable design.

I had a desire for something new and different. To try new things see new things and understand color and design. The alternative was not to settle. It was to create something from scratch.

With 1,000 Rupees and no technical help I started building things by hand. For 23 months I worked alone. My early designs looked good on paper. They didn't work in real life. I refused to sell something that wasn't perfect. I kept working, destroying and rebuilding until it was flawless.

What exists now is the result of that determination.

We make products that are carefully thought out and uncompromising. We don't make things for everyone. We don't follow the crowd. We design unique products, for those who don't like the ordinary, who can handle the dark and who want a reality that nobody else dared to imagine.
